Welland, Ontario – The recent and deeply disturbing assault of a toddler in Welland has left our entire community shocked and heartbroken. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe home, a safe neighbourhood, and a society that protects their innocence. I am horrified by this unspeakable act.
Perpetrators of such heinous crimes must be dealt with swiftly and severely. As your provincial representative, I will continue working closely with local leaders, law enforcement, and my colleagues at Queen’s Park to advocate for the strongest possible measures to keep dangerous offenders off our streets.
I want to thank all of the first responders for their swift and professional response to this tragedy. Their dedication in the face of such a horrific event is a powerful reminder of the strength and commitment within our public services.
This appalling act of violence has shaken our community. It goes against the values that define Welland. We will stand united for this family, for our children, and for our community.
