Slam Trump Back By Boycotting Everything American!

A Brief Commentary by Niagara At Large reporter/publisher Doug Draper

Even more so now, with Trump increasing tariff’s on Canadian goods this August 1st from 25 to 35 per cent, I am getting sick and tired of Americans saying to us in so many words; “We’re sorry. It’s just him. We love you Canadians.”

Oh really?

Go tell that to the more than 70 million people who voted for this ugly monster, knowing, from his first term in office, that he had it in for Canada along with just about every other free democracy around the world.

Over the past five or six months, numbers from Statistics Canada and other survey agencies show that growing numbers of us are already doing our best to buy products made in Canada and boycott products made and the U.S.A., and are also limiting, if not completely zeroing out, our travel to the United States.

But now, in the wake of these latest tariff hikes, we, the people – regardless of what retaliatory measures our government leaders do or do not take – should go all the way and cut the U.S.A. off completely.

Let’s buy everything we can that is made right here and if we can’t find something we need that is made here, let’s try to buy it from countries in Europe or elsewhere that are more friendly to us.

I, for one, so angry with all of this business of Trump pushing our country around, I would be okay with our Prime Minster, Mark Carney, saying he is no longer going to bother negotiating trade deals with the U.S. but work to strengthen them with other more friendly and reliable allies instead.

I would also be okay with telling Americans that unless they own property in Canada or they have relatives here, you stay in your country if you think that will ‘make it great again’ and we’ll stay in ours.

Maybe then, we won’t have to deal with any more of your president’s threats against us, accompanied by all of the business about how ‘sorry’ you are and how much you ‘love’ us.
