Trump is at it again – threatening to jack up tariffs on Canadian goods sold to markets in the United States even higher by the end of this July.
It doesn’t seem to matter how many economists and others in his own country tell him that waging this tariff war against a longtime friend and ally like Canada will not only hurt citizens and businesses north of the border, but will do significant damage to citizens and businesses in his own country too.
Like an errant seven year old laying with firecrackers, he can’t seem to stop lighting more off.
That’s why it was so good to recently watch Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Minister of Industry Melanie Joly stand beside a high-ranking member of the European Union and say it is time for Canada to shift away from the United States as a trading partner and strengthen our bonds with other more friendly and reliable countries as soon as possible.
With that, I want to reprise one of the best videos that began circulating since Trump started this mad trade trade war against Canada, along with his continued threats to make Canada a “51st state.”

Finally, let’s continue to stand together for our country by supporting home-grown businesses, purchasing as many Made in Canada products as possible and boycotting the U.S.A. until Trump knocks it off, if he ever does.
