Tim Ellis, Niagara Region’s new Commissioner of Corporate Services
Niagara, Ontario – Following an extensive and competitive recruitment process, Tim Ellis will be joining Niagara Region as the new Commissioner of Corporate Services, effective July 7, 2025.
Ellis brings to the Region over 20 years of experience in financial management and organizational leadership, having served in several senior roles across Ontario’s education and public sectors.
Most recently, Ellis was the Chief Financial Officer at Trillium Lakelands District School Board, where he led the modernization of the Board’s long-term accommodation strategy and revamped its budgeting process for enhanced transparency and alignment with strategic goals.
Prior to his role at Trillium Lakelands, Ellis held progressively senior positions with the York Region, Toronto and Toronto Catholic District School Boards.
Ellis will assume the leadership role of Niagara Region’s Corporate Services Department that includes Legal and Court Services, Procurement Services, Asset Management Office, Information Technology Solutions, Construction, Energy and Facilities Management, and Financial Management and Planning.
