Earlier this Saturday (May 3rd) afternoon, a friend and long-time reader and supporter of Niagara At Large, sent me a news story that is just now circulating about the highly offensive AI generated image (shown just to the right and a line or two above these words) that Trump either posted himself or had posted for him on his online ‘Trump Social’ media site.
Pope Francis was a strong advocate for action on the climate crisis.
As I said here a few weeks ago upon learning of the death of Pope Francis, I am not a Catholic nor am I, in any real way, a church goer. But you don’t have to be either to hold in high regard the voice that Pope Frances raised on such issues as climate change war and peace, poverty, homelessness and migrants searching to find a new and better life – a voice that the likes of Trump, who had no business attending the Pope’s April 26th funeral, could never be.
So I sum this disgusting image up with the following words that I realize some may find unbecoming of me –
There is no bottom for this rancid, flaming asshole who both he and the legions of misguided idiots who follow him continue to pass off as a human being.
This past Easter weekend, a website operated by a faction of his MAGA supporters who identify themselves as “patriots” called on the whole world to celebrate and worship Trump’s resurrection, as if he were the body of Christ. so this latest shameless act, this blasphemous image coming out as Cardinals around the world prepare to choose a new Pope, should not come as a surprise.
I am also not a believer in the Christian idea of any heaven and hell that awaits us after we go. But if there is a heaven and hell, I don’t think it will take St. Peter, the Apostle at the gates, more a few seconds to decide where this orange face monster should go.
