Niagara, Ontario – Niagara Region, in partnership with Brock University, City of St. Catharines, Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, and Ontario Power Generation is excited to be hosting the 22nd annual Niagara Children’s Water Festival April 29 – May 2, 2025.
The Niagara Children’s Water Festival is a unique opportunity for Grade 4 students across the region to engage in hands-on activities that educate students about the importance of our most valuable natural resource – water.
The goal of the festival is to empower children to initiate behavioural change at home, and in schools and communities.
This four-day educational festival includes 30 interactive and hands-on activity centres organized by event partners, as well as other local water, nature and conservation organizations. Each activity focuses on one or more key pillars of learning, such as water conservation, water protection, water attitude, water science and water technology.
In addition to student participation, approximately 1,500 parents, teachers and volunteers are expected to take part throughout the water festival.
