Let’s Fight Back By Continuing to Boycott All Things And Places American

Trump keeps threatening to take over Canada.

On the eve of our April 28th federal election here in Canada, Trump took advantage of a news scrum at the White House to threaten our sovereignty again with more talk about  making Canada “a 51st state.”

It another reminder that the United States can no longer be included among Canada’s good allies and friends.

It should also serve as a reminder to whoever becomes our next Prime Minister that he needs to move as quickly as possible to work with provinces and territories within our country to break down any and all trade barriers, and to reach out to other friendly countries around the world to build trading relationships with them.

The ultimate goal should be an end to any trading relationship with a country as volatile and hostile as the United States which, I suspect, will also be just fine with tens of millions of Trump supporters in that country who want to iscolate themselves from the rest of the world anyway.

Finally, as citizens of Canada, let’s continue to stand together and send a strong lesson to Trump and his supporters by, as one Member of Parliament from Ontario recently put it, “not spending one single dime” in the United States and on any products made in the United States.

Let’s continue to do as much buying of Canadian made products as we can and from counties we can count on as our friends.

To the extend U.S. citizens and businesses suffer from a boycott against all things and all places American, let them take their complaints the individual who started this war against an old neighbor and friend – Donald Trump.

Now here is a video of Trump this April 23rd, taking aim at Canada again. You can watch it by clicking on the screen immediately below –

A Final Note from Doug DraperEarlier this April 24th, I was in a grocery store on our side of the Canada/U.S. border and I was sorry to see Sunkist orange juice and related products from Florida – one of the most Trump-friendly states in the U.S. and the one that hosts his Mar-a-Lago palace – on some of the shelves. I asked at the service desk if the store would consider not longer carrying those products and was told that other customers have made that suggestion too and the store is considering it.

I think we should all keep asking our Canadian retailers that question until there isn’t a single product Made-In-The U.S.A. on the shelves until Trump completely backs off with the tariffs and threats against our sovereignty.

Let’s keep the usually busy entrance to the United States at the Peace Bridge – this image downloaded just a few days ago – and at all other border crossings to Trumpland free of cars. Why go where we are not wanted.
