We are so excited to share that there are now two white birch trees on the lawn of our shelter!

This past April 22nd, thanks to the partnership of Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. and the City of Niagara Falls Environmental Action Committee, these trees were planted in celebration of Earth Day.

The birch trees are more than a beautiful addition to our property—they are also a powerful symbol of the resilience and strength of the women and children who reach out to Birchway Niagara each day.

We are honoured to be part of a community that supports a greener, healthier future, and a safer one for everyone impacted by abuse.

About Birchway Niagara – In 2023, Women’s Place became Birchway Niagara. The change represents a growing understanding that, while women and children experience intimate partner violence at a higher rate, abuse is an issue that negatively impacts everyone and that must be solved by everyone.
