I usually don’t plug charity drives run through big chain stores as I am checking out at the cash register.
You may know the kind of charity fundraisers I mean – the ones where after the cashier totals up purchases he or she says; ‘Would you like to donate x many dollars to this or that cause.’
But being the animal lover that I am, I can’t help giving a shout-out to this one.
At a Sobeys grocery store, located on Glendale Avenue, just a block or so east of Hwy 406 in St. Catharines, the store is partnering with an animal assistance group called Travelling Tails K9 Rescue that works to look after and find “forever homes” for orphaned dogs that have been rescued from situations that, one way or another, were not making for a long and happy life.
Make your donation “for The Love Of Pets” at the Sobeys store on 343 Glendale Avenue located between the Hwy 406 interchange and Merritt Street in St. Catharines, Niagara
The fundraiser for these animals in need is now underway, all this week through to and including this coming Sunday, February 16th, and it involves you donating a few dollars at the cash register or purchasing some dog food that can be placed in a big barrel for these canines in need inside the store’s front doors.
I ask you to consider donating and leave you with a few words from the animal assistance people at Travelling Tail K9 Rescue –
