As the Ontario Greens’ Finance Manager, I spend a lot of time looking at the numbers. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t make Doug Ford’s line up.
Doug Ford says he needs a new mandate to spend billions of dollars so that Ontario can fight back against Trump’s tariff threats.
But, he didn’t need a new mandate to try and sell the Greenbelt to his rich developer friends.
He didn’t need a new mandate to spend $600 million to increase alcohol sales.
He didn’t need a new mandate to table the largest spending budget in Ontario’s history.
And he didn’t need a new mandate to spend $10 billion on Highway 413, another $1 billion on the Bradford Bypass and an estimated $2.2 billion gutting Ontario Place.
And to top it all off, now he’s spending $189 million on an entirely unnecessary early election.
Ontarians need a government they can trust to invest wisely in our future. Not one that wastes billions of taxpayers’ dollars building spas and highways in the GTA while people across the province can’t find a family doctor and are struggling to put food on the table.
It’s time we made a smart investment in our future by supporting a party with a real plan for Ontario.

I agree with the statements of Jon Irwin made regarding
Premier Ford. He destroys for example the Beer Stores have mature hardworking employees who check under aged clients, etc. also they take in empties rather than them go to the environment but what does Ford do? He starts sending booze into stores so the Beer Store employees are now losing their jobs. He never knows enough to leave alone the things that are already working. He lies and deceives the public. He was recently caught on a hot mic praising Trump election and then turns around and swears about him.
