Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals, called on Doug Ford (this February 4th) to come clean to the people of Ontario about his real reasons for calling a $189-million election a year and a half before the province’s scheduled election date.
“(This past Monday, February 3rd), Doug Ford lost his excuse for this election (when Trump put at least a 30-day “pause” on slapping crippling trade tariffs on Canadian goods crossing the border to the United States).
Now, he needs to tell the people of Ontario what this election is really about.
“Why are we having this election?
“I have a few ideas. Let’s have an election that’s about protecting our province and fixing the public healthcare system that we pride ourselves on. Let’s have an election that’s about standing up and fighting like hell for an Ontario where everyone has a family doctor.” — Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals
Crombie’s comments come a day after Doug Ford got caught admitting his support for Donald Trump winning the presidency, despite Trump campaigning on the promise to start a trade war with Canada. The people of Ontario are seeing who Doug Ford really is, and he’s not in it for them.
