Here is Canada’s now outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau(left) making nicey nice with Trump down at Mar–Lago late this past year. Within a matter of days after Trudeau’s audience with America’s soon-to-be dictator, Trump went right back to openly threatening Canada with plans for tariffs that would wreak havoc on the economies of both countries and with dreams of making Canada the 51st state of his MAGA nation.
Shortly after Justin Trudeau announced this January 6th, 2025 that he was resigning from office, Donald Trump, who has spent several weeks now, mocking and threatening Canada, posted the following on his social media site –
“Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat. Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned,” Trump posted.
“If Canada merged with the U.S. There would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be TOTALLY SECURE from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them. Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!”
An Afterword from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large – Maybe we should tell Trump that if federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is elected the next prime minister of Canada, his leadership would be redundant.
