With the recent political outcome south of the border, it’s been a bleak month for many. As our own election looms on the horizon and misinformation continues to spread, we’re gearing up to do all we can to share facts with the masses in the coming months.
Keeping hope alive about tax justice in Canada has never been more important. Here’s what we’ve been up to this November.
Taxing excess profits in Canada: An urgent proposal for action –
From 2021 through 2023, Canadian corporations collected $440 billion more in profits than expected based on their average profit margin over the previous four years.
Our latest report looks at extreme corporate profits in Canada and why we need to tax them back to support our shared resources.
