A Brief Foreword by Doug Draper at Niagara At Large – This may be far from the usual more heavy issues you find posted on this site. But I am posting it because it is a good example of one of the ways to engage young people in our local governments. Hopefully are schools will see moments like this as an opportunity to teach young people about the workings of government and the responsibility they have and all of their fellow citizens have to engage with them on other matters that impact our communities.)

“It was truly heartwarming to see the creativity and holiday spirit that came through in each submission,” said Mayor Siscoe. “These young artists captured the magic of the season in their own unique ways, and I’m thrilled to feature their artwork on the 2024 holiday card. I look forward to sharing their beautiful designs with leaders in St. Catharines and beyond.”
The winning designs were chosen based on their representation of this year’s theme, Holiday Magic in St. Catharines, which encouraged participants to illustrate their favourite holiday traditions or places in the city that make the holidays magical.
