Do Canadians Want To Live Next To – Let Along Visit – A Country Trump Describes As A ‘Garbage Can’ And ‘Hell Hole’?

“We-re like a garbage can for the world,” bellowed Donald Trump during one of his rallies late this October.
America, he continued to a large crowd of cheering supporters has turned into a “hell hole” infested with murderers, drug dealers, on-the-loose mental patients and the like – what he frequently refers to, like Hitler often did to dehumanize people he wanted to round up and subject to whatever punishment – as “vermin.”
Trump goes on spewing this bile, mostly about immigrants of colour, even though his country’s own FBI statistics show that crime in his country has trended downward and are mostly committed by homegrown Americans.
But in Trumpland, who gives a damn about the facts.
Besides, if who want to talk about homegrown Americans, there is also what Trump calls the “enemy within” – individuals and organizations like former U.S. House Speaker Nancy, Pelosi, former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney and any cable television news network he believes have crossed him – that he says he’s willing to go after with his country’s armed forces and put on military trial.
Who do so many Americans continue to worship a guy who some of his former associates now openly call a “fascist”?
And I haven’t even mentioned the debasing remarks he has made about American military veterans – referring of and on to those among them who have died serving their country as “losers” and “suckers.”
No wonder I hear so many Canadians say they are seriously thinking of not crossing over to the United States for any reason if Trump wins back the White House in the coming November 5th elections. No wonder I’ve had so many friends and acquaintances in the U.S. who are of sound mind say they may seriously consider moving to Canada.
In the meantime, what in hell is wrong with the tens-of-millions of Americans who continue to support this monster? Once upon a time, and not all that long ago, it was Republicans who waved the red, white and blue and expressed so much pride in their country.
Now they are prepared to vote for a lunatic who openly calls their country a “garbage can” and a “hell hole.”
It is truly mind-boggling it should concern all of us who are hoping and praying that reason prevails and Kamal Harris wins the U.S. presidential election, now only days away.
