Instead Of Doing The Work (For Canadians) , Pierre Polievre’s Conservatives Prefer To Play Games.
A News Release from the Green Party of Canada
Posted October 15th, 2024 on Niagara At Large
It’s been just a month since Parliament resumed, and already the Conservative Party of Canada is back to their old tricks–paralyzing the House of Commons and wasting time. All of this is an attempt to push a narrative that “after nine years of Trudeau, everything is broken” and force an election.
Did you know that EACH HOUR they spend dragging our MPs through non-confidence motions and unnecessary debates on privilege motions costs $70,000?
Since the beginning of October, their endless debate over delays in the government producing records related to Sustainable Development Technologies Canada has already COST OVER $1.7 MILLION IN TAXPAYER DOLLARS.
That’s your money funding their taxpayer-sponsored soap opera, DISTRACTING FROM THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE NO REAL PLATFORM OR COHERENT PLAN TO MOVE CANADA FORWARD. And all the while, Poilievre claims to be the champion of fiscal responsibility. Which, clearly, he’s not!
Canada is facing real challenges, from climate disasters to the housing crisis, and we need MPs from all parties to work together on forward-thinking solutions. That’s how our political system is meant to work: through collaboration beyond partisanship, focused on what really matters.
INSTEAD OF DOING THE WORK, THOUGH, THE CONSERVATIVES PREFER TO PLAY GAMES.
Our Green MPs will keep pushing for real progress to be made in the House.
But we need to be ready if the Conservatives succeed in forcing an election, and we need your help to stand up to their antics. By donating to the Green Party today, you’ll help us prepare to counter these childish games with a powerful electoral campaign.
