It’s One Way Of Supporting Our Local Farmers And The Green Land They Grow Food On And Of Sending A Message To The Profit Gougers Who Own And Operate The Big Grocery Chains
A Brief Commentary by Doug Draper at Niagara At Large

The height of this year’s season for growing food of all kinds may be over in Niagara but farmer’s markets are still offering the produce from all that growing across the region.
So while there is still time before the frost sets in and the snow flies, do what you can to support our local farmers by purchasing your food directly from them rather than from the corporate grocery chains that have been making record profits gouging us at the checkouts.
By doing as much as we can to buy locally grown food directly from our farmers we are sending the profit gougers and their corporate shareholders a message and we are doing our part to support our local farmers and the green lands do their growing on.

A Quick P.S. – Don’t forget the food stands you can stop at while driving along rural roads across the region.
