A Message from the City of St. Catharines

This is just a follow-up message (to a news release circulated earlier this month) to note that Lakeside Park Carousel will reopen this weekend.
City staff worked to address any concerns identified, related to ensuring safety of staff conducting the regular, routine maintenance of the carousel.
The carousel will resume operation on weekends and holidays, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting this Sept. 14-15 weekend through to Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 14.
We’d like to thank the community for its patience and understanding as we worked to ensure we could maintain and preserve the carousel in a way that prioritized employee safety.
Also, thank you to you – our media partners – for helping us to amplify the recent message of the Carousel’s temporary closure. We’d be grateful if you could also share the message it is reopening.
