A Brief Afterword from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large – Every individual and group that has made it their mission to grow plants for pollinating bees and butterflies , whether those plants be growing wild in the meadows and fields that make up some of the greenspace around us, or whether the plants are grown in our public parks and in gardens at our homes, should be commended for their efforts.
I do not believe that it has been emphasized enough to students in our schools or by governments at every level how vitally important the survival of bees and other pollinators is to the survival of us all.
The poster I include here with my brief comments does a pretty good job, I think, of summing up what is at stake.
