What Doug Ford couldn’t get for his developer friends by dismantling the Greenbelt he’s getting through a thousand other ways and the critical farmlands that provide us with food security are at risk as our all of our remaining natural areas.

Farmers are literally being forced off their land by municipalities who are now doing Ford’s dirty work. Public rights to appeal bad planning have been eliminated. Provincial natural heritage planning has gone *poof*.

What can we do about this whack-mole dangerous planning policy that encourages unaffordable sprawl instead of building the housing we need now in existing urban areas?

An important discussion Monday, April, 29th at 7 p.m. hosted by the Alliance for a Liveable Ontario.

Speakers: professional land use planner Victor Doyle (known as the architect of the Greenbelt) and by Mark Reusser, Director, Waterloo Federation of Agriculture.

A Brief Footnote from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large – Just when we think we have stopped Ford and his pals in the development industry from paving over more of our natural heritage., they find another way to slither back and go at it  again.

And where are our municipal representatives on this? How many of them will have enough  guts to stand up and speak out for the protection and preservation of what is left of these precious green land for all of us – for Ontario residents at large and for generations to come?

Please consider contacting your municipal council representatives at the local and regional level and urge them to say NO to this destructive bill.
