QUEEN’S PARK – Official Opposition NDP Leader Marit Stiles says the latest lawsuits (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/class-action-ltc-1.7143572) against private, for-profit long-term care providers should be a wake-up call for Ford’s Conservatives.
“Far too many families lost their loved ones during the pandemic while living in unacceptable, undignified conditions at for-profit long-term care homes.
The Ford government refused to hold bad actors accountable and instead, rewarded them with extensions and funding. These families deserve answers.”
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates has been after the Ford government to provide better quality care and more resources for staff in long-term-care homes for years.
