You Are Invited to a Zoom Meeting in Niagara on Climate Change and What We Can Do to Combat It

The Niagara District Council of Women  is holding a zoom public  meeting  on  climate change  at 7;30 p.m. on  January 17th  featuring Dr. Adam Martin  (PhD)  .

Dr. Martin , who teaches at the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto, has encapsulated the nature of his  talk in  its  title “CLIMATE CHANGE AHEAD ! :THE WORLD, THE PROVINCE, NIAGARA. And he goes on to say, 

“What will the future climate look like?  We know that our climate is changing, but exactly what the future will look like is less obvious. Novels and news paint a picture of climate change leading to a future Earth that is a barren post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Science tells a different story. Our speaker  will present and discuss with us the most informed predictions we have about what the future climate will  look like – 

A) around the world, and;

 B) here in Niagara/ Ontario, and highlight some strategies for combatting or adapting to these predicted changes .
