A Call-Out Don Davies, Health Critic for Canada’s New Democratic Party
Posted August 7th, 2017 on Niagara At Large
In Canada, if you get a bad cut, you go get stitches. Simple.
But if you need prescription medication, it’s a different story. Your access to drugs depends on where you work, where you live, and how much money you make.
We think that every Canadian has the right to quality health care, regardless of how much is in your wallet. That’s one of our core values as Canadians. But the sad truth is, we’re falling short.
Over 7.5 million Canadians can’t access the medication they need when they need it. And without medicine, many people will end up in hospital, needing serious, expensive – and preventable – treatment.
The Liberals and Conservatives have shown they aren’t listening to Canadians when it comes to pharmacare. As the party of Medicare, New Democrats are leaders on this issue, and we will continue to stand up for everyday Canadians.

Thanks for fighting for a better, fairer Canada. – Don Davies, MP, Critic for Health, Canada’s New Democrats
