A Call-Out from Democracy Watch
Posted February 10th, 2017 on Niagara At Large
Dear Friend,
The Kinder Morgan pipeline company, and companies that will benefit from the pipeline, gave Premier Christy Clark’s B.C. Liberal Party more than $550,000 in the past few years.

On January 12th, Premier Clark approved Kinder Morgan’s proposal to add a new pipeline that will carry crude oil from the Alberta tar sands to the B.C. coast for shipping in oil tankers to other countries.
For something as important as B.C.’s rivers and oceans, the people of B.C. deserve to have decisions made about pipelines by people who don’t have their hands in the pockets of Kinder Morgan and oil companies.
Kinder Morgan’s pipeline will endanger B.C. air, water, fish and animals.
The huge donations mean Premier Clark’s approval of the pipeline violates B.C.’s ethics law.
So Democracy Watch and the B.C.-based PIPE UP Network are going to court – the lawsuit asks the court to reject Premier’s pipeline approval because of the huge donations her Liberal Party received from pipeline companies.

Thank you for your support,
Duff, Josephine, David and everyone at Democracy Watch
