A Brief Note from Niagara At Large publisher Doug Draper – Several hundred Niagara area residents attended a candlelight vigil in St. Catharines, Ontario this Tuesday, January 31st evening for the victims of the Quebec shootings.
In a large lot, next to the Masjid-An-Noor mosque in the city’s downtown, they ended the vigil with a singing of ‘We Shall Overcome”. Many brought their children, candles in hand, to the vigil.
It was a beautiful show of solidarity in the face of a world that has gone a bit mad.

Are people aware that FOX (FAUX) News in the US broadcast that the shooter was a Muslim? Nothing like stoking the hate fires even more yet this is the network watched by millions of Americans and declared by Trump to be the only one that doesn’t present false news!
Meanwhile, I don’t recall the compassionate declarations of condolence from Leitch, Alexander, Harper or O’Leary in response to this white supremacy hate crime. Did they make any or are they in hiding?
