THE BUFFALO HISTORY MUSEUM’S 17TH ANNUAL PAINT THE TOWN ART AUCTION

  •  Over 40 Local Artists with Strong Ties to the Buffalo Region Participate

Buffalo, New, York. October 20, 2015 – For the seventeenth year, Paint the Town, the social celebration of art, history, and community will take place at The Buffalo History Museum.

The fundraiser will feature both live and silent auctions, and will include a wide range of artworks by over 40 artists with strong ties to the Buffalo region. A “cash and carry” Clothesline Gallery that features smaller unframed works is featured; guests may purchase Western New York inspired art at a set price.

Proceeds from the auction benefit both the artists and The Buffalo History Museum.

Guests may view the works on display while enjoying sumptuous food stations, a beer and wine bar, and desserts by Oliver’s Restaurant. The live auction led by auctioneer Kelly Schultz will take place 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Artists featured in both live and silent auctions work in many different media, including photography, glass, oil painting, and watercolor. To date, some of the participating artists include: Paul Alico, Nin Bogue, Allison Cihiwsky, Joanna Dicker-Bachman, Peter Fowler, Deborah Hill, Lin Xia Jiang, Richard Kersting, Sandra Ludwig, Martha Marlette, Robert Masak, Grace Meibohm, Coni Minneci, Fran Noonan, John O’Reilly, Sandra Reicis, Andy Russell, John Salmeri, Kath Schifano, Carol Siracuse, Bernice Smith, Ann Stievater, Linda Toomey, Sally Treanor, Mike Wickham, Sharon Zaremski (as of 10/20/15).
