A Sign Of Our Times – Canada’s Three Stooges

A Brief Comment by Niagara At Large publisher Doug Draper

With some apologies to the late great  Three Stooges – Curly, Larry and Moe and their descendants – here is an accurate depiction of three of the stooges we in Ontario and Canada have to put with today.

Thanks to Terry Nicholls from our greater Niagara regional community of Welland, Ontario for sharing this image he created with Niagara At Large.

I guess that the only criticism I would give to this image is that the original Moe Howard of Stooges fame, interfaced with Ontario Tory leader Tim Hudak here, at least had some real leadership skills.

And Curly, depicted as Canada’s soulless prime minister here, was a great dancer and singer,.meaning that I would rather slit my throat than here Harper rape The Bealtes’ Hey Jude again. Finally, how sad it is to see Larry Fine, who took so many of the slaps in those Stooges flicks, portrayed as Rob Ford, who has done more slapping of what he percieves to be his political enemies.

Yes, and here are three of the real stooges we have to deal with right now. Want to vote for them again? Don't be a knuclehead!

Other than that, dear Niagara At Large visitors, study Terry Nicholls’ image closely. It deserves more than a tweet or bumper sticker’s moment of our thought and attention. – unfortunately. Share your thoughts, if you dare to.

In the meantime, if  any of you out there want to fire in a ‘Sign of Our Times’ image to Niagara At Large for possible posting, do so, remembering that it has to speak to the good, bad or ulgy sign of our times.

(NOW IT IS YOUR TURN. Niagara At Large encourages you to share your views on this post. A reminder that we only post comments by individuals who share their first and last name with them.)
