A Brief by Doug Draper
Regardless of how you feel about Ontario’s relatively new premier Kathleen Wynne and her efforts to recast a Liberal government sullied by Dalton McGuinty, let’s at least give her credit for wanting to be more available to we, the province’s people.
For about the third or fourth time, Wynne will do a full hour of open line questions with whoever calls on CBC Radio’s Ontario Today, on the radio at 99.1 FM this Thursday, June 13 at noon. She is the first premier I know of who has run this kind of gauntlet in many, many years, and as I already said, she deserves at least a bit of credit for that.
The last time I heard an exchange between Wynne and callers on this program, the back and forth, however adversarial, was far more civil than what you get during question period in the Ontario legilislature.
If you have a question or a beef with the premier and her government you might want to consider calling in this program. The toll-free number anywhere in Ontario is 1-888-817-8995. You can also send a question or comment to CBC’s Ontario Today via email at ontariotoday@cbc.ca .

I have been writing, e-mailing and visiting Queen’s Park, trying to get the chance to talk to Kathleen Wynne. I met with her in December, before the Lib. election, and shared my serious problems concerning the health and welfare of my special needs son. We have a specialist’s letter, saying how badly my son would be affected by a 600+ ft. 3mw industrial wind turbine, 550 m from the center of our home, (as is proposed by NRWC). He is 12 years old, and has no way to protect himself from the noise and flicker that will harm him severely due to his sensory processing issues. No government institution claims to have the power to correct this problem, because of the Liberals enacting the green energy act, and taking away the rights we once had to protect our children, our homes, and our communities. Now that she is premier, she will not respond to my pleas for help, at all. Not even a note, or an e-mail.. No paper trail that way, I suppose. I will try desperately to get through today.

Shellie, you forgot about the clear night sky being turned into a light show with all the blinking lights for aircraft that can be seen for miles!
If you want a sense of what to expect, witness the wireless towers on 30 RD in Grimsby. They cast light into my house that is roughly 12km away.
Good luck with Wynn, but unless you have a lobby group behind you I am afraid it will be an uphill battle. Politicians only care about getting re-elected at whatever cost.
Just sayin…..
