The ‘Great’ McGuinty Let’s Us Eat Cake (If We Can Still Afford It)

By Preston Haskell

A front-page headline in the St. Catharines Standard readsPage Headline Standard reads: ‘Province Will Freeze Social Assistant Rages’.

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty takes it out on the down and out.

The Standard inserted an image of ‘The Great Impoverator’ into their article possibly to remind folks what kind of job he and his fellow dumb donkeys are doing. The Great Impoverator drives out Ontario Commerce and then throws the unemployed under the bus.

Before I go on I just have to say that the other political parties have had their turn at doing better and by looking at our deficit they demonstrate clearly that their only ability is to whine. They cannot even come up with a simple suggestion other than to ask us to vote THEIR sorry opposition donkeys into office!

Good timing McGuinty crew of Impoverators; cannibalize the poor and children to protect your sorry donkeys! At the same time of the release of the obscene ‘Sunshine List’, you silly donkeys come out with a ‘Let them eat cake’ answer to reducing Ontario’s deficit.

Cannibalize outlying communities; throw anyone outside of Toronto under the bus and all because of this government’s inability to govern. Perhaps these dumb donkeys actually believe the foreign income from the U.S. will travel all the way to Toronto for slots.

The Great Impoverator might ask for suggestions. Here are a dozen things that could be suggested other than suggesting that these dumb donkeys resign.

  1. Give the citizens a recall mechanism
  2. Allow the recall mechanism the power to also force an election
  3. Correct the socialist penchant for centralizing everything in Toronto
  4. Clean up and clean out your failing bureaucracies
  5. Stop under the table corruption
  6. Stop the $millions or our tax dollars flowing to your ‘Patrician Class’
  7. Put the needs of citizens ahead of questionable theories and bankrupt ideology
  8. Clean up our failing and overly-expensive education system
  9. Adjust The Arbitration Board to reflect ‘ability to pay’
  10. Allow green energy to come on line when its time has come
  11. Stop allowing pollutants from entering our waterways
  12. Use our health care dollars for health care; not to enrich government insiders

Dear Reader, if I sound angry it’s only because I am angry. I am disgusted with what we have had to put up with from our so-called governments. Following the insipid rhetoric of leaders like ‘The Great Impoverator’ will continue to exponentially lead our society further and further into disaster.

I fully apologize for the character of my language but my language can never match that of ‘The Great Impoverator’ when he describes himself a Liberal.

  2. Thanks Preston for your article. This Premier and his lackeys have made me so angry, I am speechless. A friend of mine who was told something (not true) about this budget got all wound up about it, started thinking she was going to lose her housing, slashed her wrists and ended up the hospital on suicide watch. She was already very sick and living on ODSP. It takes very little to tip people like this over. I certainly would not have written a budget that would have attacked the most vulnerable in this way. The sad thing is, there is nothing in this budget for jobs or to support small businesses either, so if this is where this group of bandits wants to take us, they certainly will not be getting my vote the next election. But, as you say, I don’t who to vote for anymore. If anybody can identify one government that put the needs of everyone first before their own, let me know.
