Here is your chance to nominate an individual, business or group you feel deserves to be recognized for their green efforts. Niagara At Large is pleased to post the following message about these awards, including a link you can click on to obtain more information about the awards program and nomination forms.
Nominations are now open for Niagara Region’s 23rd annual Environmental Awards. The Awards honour individuals, families, businesses, community groups, non-profits, young people and schools who have made significant contributions to conserving or enhancing natural environment in Niagara. The attached brochure provides more information.
Please take a moment to consider whether you know of someone deserving of recognition.

I nominate PHOTECH Environmental Solutions Inc. For their work in reprocessing discarded paint and reconstituting said paint into a usable product at a marketable price.This company is based in St. Catharines Ontario.

I agree with George. I am aware they are taking on a huge responsibility as the Province ‘downloads’ to smaller firms…. reading this just from the Globe and Mail — anyway. An admirable nominee.
Other than those of us, of course, who started the first ever bottle recycling campain way back when, as Pollution Probe Niagara. This was so long ago that Joe Reid was the mayor. However, our patience and pressure led to the city’s first recycling, and later to the Regions.
