St. Catharines, Ontario – Niagara Author and Noted Speaker Jack Veffer will launch his new book “Science and Religion Is a Match Made in Heaven” at Jewellery Design by Catherine, 35 James Street.

The book launch is scheduled from 6pm until 9pm. A reception will be held in Mr. Veffer’s honour. Mr. Veffer will be in attendance to talk about his new book and to answer questions. An additional “Meet the Author” session will be held on Saturday June 28 from 10am until 2pm at the same location.
Mr. Veffer’s autographical first book “Through the Eyes of the Child: Survival of the Holocaust” told his story as a child-survivor of the holocaust.
His second book “Science and Religion Is a Match Made in Heaven” is a work of fiction that explores the search for the self and the ultimate destination of the soul through his own experience, with commentary, real and imagined, of well-known individuals.
As Mr. Veffer explains “Although it touches on some very esoteric subjects it really is a narrative of my own journey through my “mansion of imagination” and is purposely lighthearted. It allows the readers to tag along in my journey of discovery, based on questions I pose to my learned friends about existence and energy and the work we need to do in this existence to reach the soul’s ultimate destination.”
Mr. Veffer continues “I explore the harmony that must exist between spirituality and scientific discovery and maintain that there can be no contradiction between one and the other.”
Jack Veffer was born in Amsterdam, Holland. He emigrated to Canada in 1958. He started his writing career rather late in life. He published his first book in 2007. The book, his memoirs as a child survivor of the Holocaust; ” Through The Eyes of the Child: Survival of the Holocaust” became an instant best-seller. His previous background was in computer sales and systems analysis. Much of his work was in the development of leading edge computer technology.
A Holocaust survivor, Mr. Veffer is also known as a noted speaker and lecturer, willing and able to share his experiences with a wide audience. He has been asked to speak at Brock University, in Toronto and around Ontario.
