News from Niagara College
March 14th, 2014 – She’s known as the most successful marathon swimmer in the history of the sport, as the first person to ever swim across all five Great Lakes,
and as a coach and a fundraiser who works to make a difference in
people’s lives.On March 21st, Vicki Keith will bring her inspirational messages to
Niagara College. Keith speaks about her journey as a marathon swimmer
and as a coach to those who have been told that their dreams were
impossible. The event was organized by the College’s School of
Community Services, and Recreation and Leisure Services and Recreation
Therapy Programs.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Vicki Keith to our College,”
said David Veres, Niagara College’s Dean of Community and Health
Studies. “Her message of perseverance and dedication will not only be a
great learning opportunity for students enrolled in our Community and
Health programs, but one that will surely inspire students and staff
across the entire college community.”
The March 21st event will be held from 12-2:30 p.m at the Welland Campus,
Applied Health Institute (AH141). The speaker event is open to students
and staff at Niagara College. Tickets are free but seating is limited.
