ONTARIO PCs CALL ON WORKING FAMILIES COALITION TO COME CLEAN
QUEEN’S PARK, Feburary 14th, 2014 – “What we have here is a coalition of Ontario’s biggest unions masquerading as a grassroots movement,” said Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak today (this February 14th, 2014) in Toronto.

Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak, looking like he is not enjoying his best moment in the provincial legislature. NAL predicts there will be fewer joyous moments for him from here on.
“These folks are misleading the people of Ontario. They’re not telling them what they’re actually after.” (Audio Clip #1)
Hudak made his remarks following last night’s byelections in Thornhill and Niagara Falls. Ontario PC Candidate Gila Martow won the contest in Thornhill, while Candidate Bart Maves finished a close second at the end of a tight race in Niagara Falls.
Throughout the campaign, paid union activists worked hard to ensure the election of either a Liberal or NDP candidate who would divert tax dollars to union members
Today, Hudak announced the launch of WorkingFamiliesExposed.ca, a website to provide information about the Working Families Coalition’s true motives and membership.
“I wish the Working Families Coalition would actually come out and say what they’re all about, and that’s Big Labour. That they have the sole purpose of trying to divert taxpayer dollars into their own pockets – into private members hands and away from public services. That’s what they’re all about.” (Audio Clip #2)
Hudak pointed to the Liberals and NDP as enabling the Coalition’s activities, while indicating he would hold both parties responsible for decisions made with this union lobby group in mind.
“They’re trying to get as much public money for their members as possible. That’s their job as union leaders. But I do take issue with their attempt to cover up who they really are, and the fact they’re doing that. And I will hold the Liberals and the NDP accountable for caving in budget after budget, bill after bill to big labour demands. We just can’t afford it. And taxpayers lose.” (Audio Clip #3)

What we have here is a coalition of Bay Street’s biggest CEO’s masquerading as someone who gives a shit about the 99% who work for a living.

As a former Conservative supporter, I can only say that the sooner we see the back of this guy, the better. Tim Hudak’s divisive, negative type of politics are NOT what this province needs moving forward!

This man is right out of his logical mind. There is no union with the kind of money to piss away on political campaigns and/or third party advertising like the corporate special interests that prop up the Ontario Progressive Conservative Part. That is corporate plus dark money that sneaks in past Elections Ontario scrutiny from the 4 corners of the world like a grow op by-passing the hydro meter. Not to mention 24/365 talk radio, coast to coast babbling the virtues of globalization and how good the private sector handles money compared to government. All the P.C’s and their backers real agenda is to reduce workers to slaves at the beck and call of the employer, at the lowest possible pay in order to keep production costs to an absolute minimum. Tell me: after 40 plus years of globalization, tax cuts and deficit fighting, when will the Ontario economy hit the bottom, turn the corner and workers and their families return to the prosperity of the 1970’s??? It never will. The Tim Hudaks of this world are the corporate and banking industry collaborators whose goals will always be lower the bar until Ontario becomes the same hell hole a Haiti!

Similar type of things happening next door, with our neighbours the Americans,With help from the Republican controlled Supreme Court rulings, that says Corporations are people, so to aid that they put in place an object called Super Pacts whereby money can pretty much be used to unseat any person in Congress or the Senate that they set their sights on. these holding Pacts gather money on a daily basis and are controlled by the likes of the Koch brothers who make their money from gambling among other things, this way they have taken over Governor’s of whole States and with that power can pretty do whatever they want, such as voter suppression, look at Govenor Christie of New Jersey, shutting down the main bridge into that State for days on end.as pay back to a Mayor of the City ,the bridge was located., chaos erupted,, That Mayor was a Democrat who endorsed a fellow Democrat . When it comes to hit lists and dirty money nobody does it quite like the Harperites. who even bring these sleezeballs in from the US to run their campaigns.

Tim, Is acting like a spoiled brat, who didn’t get to win the game of marbles, so he is kicking everything into the gutter, Tim is a small man, he once was a Liberal and became a Conservative when an opportunity erupted , with some help, got the nomination through a stacked deck, he should not complain if other people serve him the same lessons. Politics is a blood sport, live with it.!!!

Hudak’s attack on unions is really an attack on all labour. It is an affront on all thinking Ontarions when we see the few wealthy taking the majority of the fruits of labour. Labour are the ones who are the predominant makers and purchasers of goods and services. Without us their would be no economy. Certainly there is a need for entrepreneurs and investors. But to actually believe that workers need to take lower wages for the economy to grow is like saying your bank account will become richer if you save less. His logic is so convoluted that it actually scares me that a leader of a political party is actually saying and believing this. The real shame is recognized by both Linda and Will. It is a belief that Reaganomics actually works despite that it has been proven wrong over and over again and despite what they see happening today. It’s just sickening.

Once the “Progressive Conservative Party” was truly PROGRESSIVE but people like Hudak, Harris, Harper and so many me, me, me people along with Corporate Think Tanks like the Fraser Institute have negated, corrupted and turned this party into a corporate “only” party that cares not about the citizens they are supposed to represent just Corporations and their bottom line on a profit and loss statement. When Peter MacKay sold out to Harper it was the demise of the venerated Federal P.C. Party and the rise of a New Party (now called the Harper CONServative party) There are no Stanfields left just a bunch of corporate owned and led…. sheep
The Provincial PCs will not survive if they allow this ( What’s a good description of a loser?) hypocrite to stay on as leader for he is leading this party down the hill to oblivion.

Take any one of these Hudak quotes listed in the article and simply substitute “big corporations” for “labour” and you have the real truth.

It is with a heavy heart that I say I must agree with Joseph Somers and Gerry Chamberland.
The federal conservative party at least had the decency to drop the word ‘progressive’ from the party name.
Here in Ontario, with Tim Hudak as leader, the party should be called the Regressive Conservative Party!
When I was much younger, many years ago in BC, I was a strong supporter of the NDP. As years went by I slowly moved to the right (somewhat) to the point where I now consider myself a small-c conservative. Politically, I suppose I am what is often called a Red Tory.
I have NO connection to the federal or provincial conservative parties. They have gone so far “out there” on the right that I have had to say no, I will not support them.
Philosphically, I cannot and will not ever again vote for any candidate running on behalf of the Liberal party – federally or provincially. I am sick of being lied to repeatedly.
After having seen what happened when the NDP formed the government in Ontario back in the early 1990s, I have serious concerns about them as well.
Over the last 50 years I have seen a steady decline in the quality of people involved in political life. In the past 25 years the decline has accelerated. In the past five years, it feels like Canada has fallen off a cliff!

Elites, eh? Thornhill, average family income more than 100K, Niagara, median income 24K. Thornhill, average bungalow, 700K. Niagara, 200K. Tell me where the elites are Tim? Hudak reminds me of another Conservative leader who got too close to the Falls and blamed others for his problems, one Stock Day. Try taking personal responsibility for your own failures and stop blaming working people.
