The Summit is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and businesses from across Niagara to take part in an interactive event featuring the latest technological innovations. The event includes a trade show, informative demonstration sessions and a keynote speaker in the field of business and technology. It will also provide an opportunity for local businesses in Niagara to showcase their work and innovations in the area of technology development and support.

“At TELUS, we’re on a journey to put our customers first.  We are pleased to partner with the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce to help the businesses of Niagara unlock the power of technology,” said Hugh Johnson, vice-president of Small and Medium Business Sales in Ontario, TELUS. “We encourage all Niagara business owners to join us at the Summit and learn about new solutions that could help their business.”

TELUS offers office and mobile communications solutions to more than 500,000 small-and-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across Canada. SMBs doing business with TELUS can count on a large business team dedicated to meeting their organizations’ needs 24/7.  In addition to connecting businesses on the go with a blazing fast 4G LTE Wireless network, TELUS also supports the office with offerings including voice, data, video, and managed and hosted solutions for business. TELUS has joined the Chamber to present the Technology Summit to shine light on how Niagara businesses can better use technological innovations to improve productivity, reach new consumers and increase efficiency in the workplace.

“The role that technology plays in driving profitable business evolutions is enormous, and it is expanding at a rate that’s virtually impossible for business owners to grasp without help,” said Dave Shaw, Chair of the Niagara Technology Summit. “With the support of key players like TELUS, we are bringing an immense amount of knowledge under one roof in our world-class Niagara setting to share and display leading-edge solutions and best practices from both here in Niagara and across the technology world.”

The Niagara Technology Summit will also be building upon the work of the Niagara Economic Summit in 2012, in which businesses identified the need for Niagara to build its capacity for innovation.

“Technology has changed the way we communicate and access information, and as a result it has accelerated the speed of transactions taking place across the globe,” said Walter Sendzik, CEO of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce. “By having TELUS on board as a major sponsor for this event, we are able to connect Niagara’s business community to the rest of the globe and hopefully spark the beginning of change in Niagara that could revolutionize the way in which we do business.”

For further information on registering a booth at the Summit, contact Mary Jane Johnson at the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce at membership@gncc.ca. Details on registration for the Summit will be forthcoming.
