Okay, So Maybe I Should Have Said Niagara At Large Will Ramp Up Later This Week – Or Maybe Even Later

A Brief Message from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large

Posted June 15th, 2022 on Niagara At Large

That post-provincial election depression is still with me so let me amend my message from late last week.

It will be late this week when Niagara At Large begins to ramp up again, to the extent that it matters at all in this world of over information.

Sometimes, I wonder if it matters at all.

Of course it matters Doug … YOU matter, YOUR informed opinion matters. I share your disappointment over the recent Ontario election results but truth be told, that result was forecast before the election was held. Ford’s catch phrase of “get it done” (much like his previous “Buck a beer”) resonated with those voters that held the Ontario Conservatives as a better alternative than either the Liberals or the NDP. Poor leadership from both of those parties and the large number of citizens that failed to vote doomed any chance of a decent political upheaval from the election … and the “first past the post” situation meant the Conservatives garnered many more seats from fewer votes cast in so many findings. I am sure your disappointment is shared by many in Ontario, but take the time you need to process your feelings and then when ready, please return to your writings. Thanks. Al Humphreys

It does matter a great deal as you bring matters to our attention that we may otherwise might not know about.
Keep up the good work and keep the faith even though it is a tough slog.

It does matter Doug. A lot. Your comments are right on. Don’t get discouraged. We all need to keep fighting with everything we have. Otherwise the idiots have won.

Hi! It does matter, at least to some of us. Your voice is a refreshing breeze in a storm of controlled information.

Yours is an important service, even if we are not replying we are reading. Sometimes we write to you, Niagara At Large, or to the very people that may be the focus of your piece at the time.

This last Ontario election was depressing. Ford is bad for Ontario. Sadly the country is lacking in leadership.

    We need voices like yours.

    Thanks.
