It's going to take a lot more than empty rhetorical flourishes and an appeal to the young adult voter through focusing on post-secondary education to create this so-called "new knowledge economy" here in Ontario. Niagara College is expanding and creating new programs for healthcare workers -- as the NHS cuts the jobs. Where's the PLAN, McGuinty? Where's the vision? And where's the acknowledgement of the realities than Ontario citizens live with every day -- such as the four Ontario university students presently drawing attention to the fact that post-secondary students don't have enough money to buy food? Like the elderly, they are swelling the lines at food banks. And that's BEFORE the HST hits us all.
